"Our home on Kiawah Island was the fourth new construction project we have
undertaken, and it was by far the easiest and most hassle-free. Bernie spent time
with my wife and me early on, getting to know what amenities we desired in a
home and helping us to zero in on what price point we felt comfortable including
in the final contract. As construction progressed, Bernie made periodic trips
with us to make final selections in flooring, lighting, kitchen and bath
furnishings, etc., helping us to stay within our budget. This approach prevented
the dreaded "overage surprise".

My husband and I interviewed several builders for our retirement home on Seabrook Island. After spending a day with Chris Brassfield, we knew that he was the builder we wanted. Chris took us through several homes that he built, and we could see the quality of the workmanship. We were also very impressed with the ingenuity that Chris displayed in each of the homes. And as important, all of the homeowners were effusive in their praise of Chris’ work. We could see that he completely satisfied their demands for their dream home.
We were not disappointed. Chris worked with us and the architect, and found ways to implement elements that we wanted in the house. We were not living nearby for the first six months of the build, so Chris sent us photos of the progress, and called every Friday afternoon for a status report. Once we moved to Seabrook (renting a home while the house was being completed), we could personally see the quality of the subcontractors at all stages of the build. Chris made the construction very easy for us, and actually very enjoyable. The house ended up even better than we had imagined. Chris is a friend for life!
